Chairman Wu met with the Peruvian Ambassador to China Your Excellency Juan Carlos Capuñay

On 2nd of August 2017, Mr. Wu Guodi (Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of China International Energy Group and Chairman of World China General Chamber of Commerce and Industry) met with the Peruvian Ambassador to China Your Excellency Juan Carlos Capuñay in Beijing and they unfold a communication about future energy cooperation.
Chairman Wu said, “Peru has numerous mining resources, in fact it is one of the 12 biggest mineral states, the major mineral resources of Peru are copper, plumbum, zinc, silver, iron, petroleum and etc. More specifically, Peru has the largest mineral reserves of bismuth and vanadium, the third largest copper reserves and the fourth biggest amount of silver and zinc in all over the world. Besides from the ample mineral reserves, Peru also has abundant oil and gas resources; the explored petroleum reserves is 400 million barrels and the natural gas reserves is 7100 billion cubic foot. With the implement of “One Belt One Road” policies, Peru, as a significant node on the 21st century maritime Silk Road, will process better economic development with its great natural resources advantages. ”
Ambassador Capuñay said, “Peru is carrying out the relative works of 21st century maritime Silk Road with other Latin American countries. We are making efforts on establishing the connection between Chinese ports and Peruvian ports, and this link will not only be the resolution of our trading issue but will also build a closer cooperation on academy, economy and culture. ”
Chairman Wu expressed, “In today’s business world, when the global outstanding enterprises are collaborating on their businesses, they shall pay more attentions on sharing information, resources and elements. Chinese companies will move forward on the cooperation with Peruvian firms; the bilateral trade amount will keep increasing through our communications and joint-development. CIEG is willing to cooperate with Peruvian companies on new energy and traditional energy fields, and we will be delighted to exploit the local mineral resources on the basis of mutual trust and reciprocal benefits. ”
